Best Cell Phone Coverage. At UCSD

Hello, I've done some searches on the subject but most answers are over a year old. Anyways any advice on which cell phone company has the best coverage? My contract with T-Mobile is up and I hear they are pretty bad at UCSD so I'm looking at switching.

Also I"m living at the Village this year so anyone with knowledge of coverage there would be appreciated.

Actually I have T-Mobile and I have never had a problem with coverage at UCSD

I have T-Mobile and the reception is really spotty. I don’t get a signal in Geisel or the Biomedical Library or in most of the Revelle buildings (York, Urie). I live in ERC which is right next to the Village and there it kind of depended on the room I was in. I got good reception in my Res Hall but no reception in the one next door. Sprint is supposed to have good coverage on campus.

^I don’t think anybody gets reception in York though. Ha ha.

Anyway, I have AT&T and it works great. Just for the record.

Really? I am at Geisel now and I am getting reception with T Mobile (like 2 bars out of four).

Wow. What floor? I’m usually on the 1st or 2nd and I don’t get anything.

First floor, I never go to the other ones lol

^it might be the model of the phone you have. Sometimes you get different reception with them

Att and Verizon are both equally good with reception all over school (including the lecture halls). Sprint is pretty good except you wont get reception in the lecture halls for the most part. T-Mobile I haven’t had experience with since none of my friends have it, but everyone says it is the worst out of the big 4

Having reception in the lecture halls is a bad thing though. Ha ha.

lol KingsElite. truth stated.

when I had Verizon it was pretty great, sometimes i got reception even when other people didn’t (like in Price theatre, York, etc.)
I’m now with T Mobile and can let you know how it is when I get back to SD. I do remember some T Mobile salesperson showed me a screen that mapped out their network and it’s supposed to be good in UCSD so you should be fine.
