When I was in the states on vacation, I had a T-Mobile plan (no contract) where we paid $40 a month and we'd get unlimited 3G, unlimited domestic calls, and unlimited domestic texts. Now the problem is I have an iPhone and TMobile don't give 3G on iPhone so I was stuck with super slow Edge.do any of the other carriers have similar plans that are good and you guys are using? I saw a $50 one on AT&T but they said its only for "basic phones", please help me out I'm a lost international LOL

I have the same plan and pay $50 a month, what the heck? I think my local t-mobile is ripping me off -_-

But hey if I were you I would stick with t-mobile cause other networks would require contracts (I think) but anyways I don’t care about the edge because almost everywhere I go I have access to a wi-fi spot, for example my apartment, library, college classes, heck even grocery stores and malls!

The $40 plan is actually from a MVNO (reseller) of T-Mobile: Simple Mobile. They’re known to be dishonest about what is considered 3G (it’s what T-Mobile itself considers 2G). So, it’s not an iPhone problem.

In fact, T-Mobile ran HSDPA+ on 1700MHz and 2100MHz when it was released, and started adding service on 1900MHz starting last year. The iPhone 4S supports HSDPA+ on the 1900MHz and 2100MHz bands.

In short: get the Monthly4G service directly from T-Mobile. They have a $30 plan with 100min / unlim. txt / 5GB, and a $50 plan with unlim. min / unlim. txt / 100MB. The truly unlimited plan is $70.

Hey I found a BYOP sim called Straight Talk, it runs on the AT&T and it’s only $45 a month for unlimited everything!

My TMibile one was also $50, sorry for the mix up!

Virgin Mobile has iphones, droids, and blackberrys. It’s what I use.

I pay only $25 a month for 300 minutes and unlimited texting/data/web.

I think that same plan is now $30, but imo, it’s the cheapest thing out there. It runs on the sprint network and it’s no contract.

Woah that’s awesome, i just checked and it’s only $35, that’s perfect for me as I don’t really make loads of calls either, thanks a lot everyone :D

But do I have to buy an iPhone from virgin? Or can I just bring my iPhone already?

Does this mean I can use 3g of T-Mobile on Galaxy Note N7000 (international version)? I always find that a letdown when Note in US use dual core instead of quad core like the international version.

You have to buy the iPhone from Virgin - they are not GSM phones, they don’t have SIM cards, they are pre-programmed to Virgin

4G T-Mobile $30 unlimited data and text, 100 minutes talk. Then use a free VOIP app like Skype or Vonage to make voice calls on the 4G data line.
