Best Cellphone Service

To current NYU students and NYC residents. What's the best cellphone provider, in terms of reception, for NYU/NYC? Cingular, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile?

I have cingular and it works wonderfully. Honestly, I think all providers will be awesome, being it is NYC and there are tons of people here, which equals tons of people needed cell phones- therefore, lots of good service providers. Thats just my assumption though, but i would assume they are all great.

verizon works best, but there phones suck, and there customer service is abysmal. cingular is a close second, i use that.

I use tmobile because it's cheap and I pay for my own plan. Plus it has GSM phones so I can take my phone abroad :P

Anyone expect tmobile. Cheap service but horrible reception

So I guess I should choose a provider accordingly to the phone I want?

But Tmobile got the best phones

Which t-mobile phones are good?

T-Mobile has terrible service. When you just swiped your Metrocard into the subway station and realize you have no more service, you'll know how annoying it is.

Some Verizon phones actually work a floor or two underground, but the best balance of phone quality and service is probably Cingular. Plus, the Rollover plan means that all those initial lonely months will not mean wasted minutes.

well go to flushing and chinatown, they got tons of ghetto phones. I prefer the W810i from sony

t-mobile, works on any gsm phones, cheaper and best customer care.
