<p>So my brother just got accepted into UCSD. With his gpa (3.89) in Biochem, I do very much think that he'll get into UCLA and Cal as well. However, he isn't sure if he would want to attend because of the competitiveness in premed. </p>

<p>I think bio is one of the few majors that may even be more competitive at UCSD then at UCB or UCLA.</p>
<p>^ Are you serious? Everyone I know has said that it isn't AS competitive...especially next to Berkeley.... I think that is maybe only for bioeng?</p>
<p>I agree with sstory. Best choice is the school he likes best. Don't count on it being any of the top UC's being easier in biology than the others. I know a pre-med who transfered from UCI to UCLA and they were getting a higher gpa at UCLA than at UCI. Moral of the story is don't base where u go on how competitive you think it may be.</p>
