I know this is pretty subjective, but does anyone have any comment on which of the above classes is the most interesting? Or maybe even a summary of what they entail (especially 118W)? I mean, they are kinda self-explainatory to an extent, but would we be more reading stuff or writing our own stuff? Also, any teacher suggestions or other tips and hints in general?

To add on to the previous question, what class or classes would you recommend to fulfill the writing requirements? Also, are there any specific teachers that I should try to get, and conversely, try to avoid?

I haven’t taken any of those courses, but within those three courses, the individual sections of each course are very different from each other. The professors pretty much come up with a unique syllabus with a focus on a specific topic/theme. They’re not broad/comprehensive poetry/criticism/cultural analysis classes.

the descriptions for individual sections are right below the description for the course level.
some sections don’t have descriptions but there is a good amount that does. they’re not indented or anything so maybe that’s how you missed it…but they look like this (this is one of the 118W courses):

I took 118W, it was awesome, very very interesting. One of my lower grades( B+), but I am no English major. I still enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it, it really depends on the teacher tho. I would recommend going to a couple different sections during the ADD/DROP period, and see which one you like best, and then do your best to get that one.
