Best Clubs To Join?

Please pick the best that would look the best for Ivy League Schools. Thanks in advance!

Chemistry Club
Speech and Debate Club
Key Club
Engineering Club/S.E.C.M.E
Environmental Club
Biotechnology Club
National Honor Society

(Btw, I want to go into a science/bio related kind of field)

It depends- how many clubs are you planning on signing up for?

You shouldn’t pick which clubs to join because you want to impress certain colleges. That’s ridiculous and people who do try to do things just to impress adcoms usually are not successful. So to answer your question…the best clubs to join are ones that you are passionate about, ones that you will enjoy and be able to contribute to and through which you will be able to contribute to your school and the community. Colleges don’t care WHAT you do as much as HOW you do it.

Join the club you are most interested in joining and/or relates to the major or career you are interested in.

My advice for you is to pick 1 or 2 areas which you love (perhaps science and speech/debate for you?), and build all of your EC’s off of those interests. In terms of academics, you obviously want to try and fit the mold which admissions officers are looking for, but in terms of EC’s, you’re supposed to do what interests YOU. They want to see passion, so choose activities which you’re passionate about. Best of luck! :)

I have narrowed down all of the clubs im interested in and they are the ones mentioned above. I just don’t know which ones to join now. (up to 3)

How about either 2 science-related clubs and either Key Club or Speech and Debate Club or 3 science clubs?
