Best college advice... ever!

Where can I get the best college advice? I found this rental bookmarking site that has a college series going right now. It has been helpful since college alums are writing it, but I want more sites that are similar.

Any suggestions? Or just share your number 1 piece of advice for incoming college freshmen!

Oh, here is the blog I have been following lately: blog.agentpair.com

Be respectful to all of those around you is the biggest piece of advice i can give.

I’ve seen to many a freshmen have this rude attitude towards others. It annoys the crap out of me.

Stay away from CC.

For real though, learn time management skills, probably the single most important thing you can do is learn how to manage your day/week/month and year by setting short and long term goals and sticking to them. You’ll find that you’ll have a lot less stress when you keep things under YOUR control.

Also, have fun.

I’ve used this site, it’s somewhat helpful. [Welcome to College, Freshmen](http://www.welcometocollegefreshmen.com/)

The best advice I can give you is just to take a deep breath and not panic. Every other freshman is just as nervous and just as new at this as you are. Everything seems big and scary at first, but you’ll get used to college life in no time. Go into college with an open mind. Instead of having a lot of expectations be prepared for anything. There’s no way you can prepare for every little thing that will happen. The best thing to do is just relax and enjoy every moment of this new adventure :)

Right before I started college my older cousin told me, “Bring two sets of sheets. You’ll probably throw up on yours.” I never did, but I did bring two sets of sheets. That was easily the most interesting piece of advice that I got.

Aside from that, time management, go to class, eat healthy, be nice.

Take risks. Make friends, do crazy things (that are legal).

You will cry at some point your freshman year because of your classes.

Study Hard, Party Harder! Have a great time but don’t waste your (or your parents) money just to go away to college and party, you can do that at home! haha

^not really for me, but i leave sleep for home, so it works out.

[Amazon.com: 1001 Things Every College Student Needs to Know: (Like Buying Your Books Before Exams Start) (9781404104341): Harry H. Harrison Jr.: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Things-Every-College-Student-Needs/dp/1404104348)

By dad bought me this and I’m only a rising HS senior. It’s pretty enjoyable to skim through.

^ I can tell you that if you’re buying your books right before an exam then you’re screwed. Unlike HS, college presents topics which can’t be learned the night before the test (or even a week for that matter in some cases).

Debatable.

Stop fretting about things and enjoy your college experience because it’s once in a life time.

You will eff up. Don’t worry.
