best college for my major?!

is there any highly regarded list that ranks the best colleges for various majors? like usnews has its list of "best universities," but where can i find out what colleges have the best programs for what i want to study? after all, what you plan to study is a crucial factor for choosing what college you want to go to....

Rugg's Recommendations is the best, IMO.

Just curious - what majors are of interest to you??

warblersrule, thanks for recommending "Rugg's Recommendations." i will be sure to check that out. do you know if any of its info is available online though, as i wouldn't want to shell out $25 if i don't have to. and in response to jeepmom, i am looking into many majors but i am generally interested in psychology (and all other social sciences) and statistics.

You could try your local library; they might have a copy. Failing that, try searching CC.

For psychology, this thread might help.

For statistics, these might help.

thanks a lot for the info! it looks like berkeley is a great school for my needs because of its programs and i love the campus and location. its also been my top choice for quite a while now... now i gotta hope i get in...

Should I attend one of the Rugg's seminars in CO? I mean how beneficial would it be for me?
