Best College for Petroleum Engineering in California?

<p>Hi, I was wondering what are some good colleges for PetE in Ca. Everyone mentions OU, Texas, etc but what about in California? Do any UC's have accredited PetE programs? I've heard Stanford's is one of the best</p>

<p>If not, I'm currently in the process of transferring to UCSB for ChemE, but would prefer if I could land an "upstream" job, which I know is pretty rare for any other engineering majors...</p>

<p>Any help please, I can't sleep at night just thinking of this :(</p>

<p>There are no ABET accredited Petroleum Engineering programs in California. Although Stanford does have a great graduate program for Petro. Eng.</p>

<p>I know for a fact oil companies recruit cal poly pretty heavily… go there and major in MechE.</p>

<p>You can land an upstream job with a ChemE degree… or MechE.</p>
