well, if you really like cornell, def. do ED, cuz they have like, a 63% acceptance rate ED....their sat score 25th percentile is around a 610V, and 620M, so you're nto that far off, but to make yourself a really competitive candidate, def. try to raise those scores

just apply ED or EA somewhere..its easier that regular esp if u have good test scores

Kinda late for ED

I agree with a lot of the posters. Your SAT scores for all of your reaches are a bit low. For Cornell, you are only 20 pts (SAT) above the bottom 25%. For JHU, you are exactly at the bottom 25% level for your SAT score. For CMU, you are a little better off, with you being 30 pts above the 25th percentile. For WUSTL, you are 20 pts below their bottom 25% percentile.

I said this because all these colleges look at SAT scores a lot. If your SAT score is a bit low, you can always compensate a bit with your SAT II scores, but in your case, it will not help you any.

Your class rank is a bit on the low side for your reaches also, and it will hurt you a little bit.

Your GPA is fine, but neither hurt nor help you.

Your schedule is VERY good, and this might help you a little bit.

Your ECs are a bit on the weak side, but as you said, this was only a quick glance. If you can show that you are dedicated in like 1 or 2 of your ECs and write good essays about them, this will help you quite a bit.

Being from NY is going to hurt you also, because A LOT of people apply from NY, and it is one of the most competetitive states in the country for getting into colleges.

Lastly, if you can write very good essays, like top 10% in the college, you will have a VERY good shot of getting in. Your stats are probably good enough for all your reaches, but only if you write good essays. If you write average essays, then I believe that you dont have a very good shot.

I hope you get in to all your reaches, and this is coming from another indian who is anxiously waiting for his decisions.... :-)
