Hood College? Curry College? Lafayette? Sorry y’all, this ain’t the Worst College Names thread

haha you bring up that your name is Matthew on like every thread! It’s a nice name though, much better than Ron or Paul, those sound like old guys. Not that I should be talking, Molly is ugly as sin.

oh, you mean like my real life name? well when I created an account, it was just to ask a question about college admissions and i figured i’d stop using the site, and molly popped into my head as a username. but my real life name is alix, and al or allie are nicknames people call me. I used to like the name molly but i’ve realized I hate people referring to me as that. so not gonna name my future daughter molly. like, imagine if your name was ron in real life instead of matthew, that would suck. ron doesn’t have any nice nicknames either, ronnie sounds like a bunny lol…matthew has matt or matty. that’s my boyfriend’s name and I love it umm i should stop giving out personal info lol.

hahah but how do I know you’re not lying to me again and pretending to like my name like before? Alix is ok, so plain and people spell it Alex and think it’s short for alexandra. I asked my mom why she spelled it this way and she told me she thought Alix was for girls and Alex for boys. can’t argue with that logic.

“hahah but how do I know you’re not lying to me again and pretending to like my name like before?”

You don’t…

I’m not even joking though, Alix is ten times better than Alex (and 16,000 times better than Molly). Having an “x” in your name makes it edgy ;)

if you say so then again, you thought molly was beautiful and reminded you of flowers a minute ago…:D

but what’s funny is some people think it must be pronounced differently than Alex since it’s spelled different. So they go out of their way to say it like Ale-ix, with the first syllable rhyming with pale. It makes me giggle :)
