Can anyone give me a list of universities/colleges that they know for sure have great papers?

I looked at a couple so far and went to the Associated Collegiate Press website (http://www.studentpress.org/acp) to look up a few names. So far, it seems that UC-Berkeley and other California schools are at the top of the list. Though I'm willing to go out of state, I'd much rather be on the Northeastern coast, near the tri-state area and NYC.

Missouri with out a doubt. The best journalism school in America, University of Missouri - Columbia owns the city newspaper of Columbia Missouri.

The Daily Bruin at UCLA is considered one of the best in the nation and I believe the best on the West coast. It also commands the third largest readership in the nation's second largest market.

Not that i've seen too many schools paper's, i can vougue for the daily bruin, which is amazing. I didn't realize the daily cal was considered to be so good, but i didn't think of it as being bad, just above average.

Actually, I heard Chico State's newspaper - The Orion -is one of the best student run newspapers in the nation. I will also vouch for UCLA having an excellent paper. Berkeley's is also great - I'm thinking about joining the staff, if possible.
