I am looking to go out and buy a college search book. What do you all recommend? Is Princeton Review the best? Or do you like another one better and why?</p>

<p>My favorite college search book is Fiske’s- it provides detailed information and reviews for many excellent schools, including some obscure ones.</p>

<p>I second the Fiske Guide. My D was absolutely glued to it all last summer. In addition to statistical and admissions info, it has a narrative for each school which provides a pretty comprehensive view of the place, right down to the quality of the dorm food. One feature that my D found extremely useful was the “Overlaps” sidebar – if you like this school, check out these as well. In fact, it was Overlaps that led her to the school she’ll be attending the fall.</p>
