<p>To be frank, if you’re going to be a chem major while also being pre-med, it really does not matter. You won’t be going far enough in chemistry that the reputation of the department (which would be based on research output) is really going to affect you. </p>
<p>Now if you’re going into chemistry because you indeed want to be a chemist - at least planning on getting a Master’s degree - then looking at the USNWR rankings might matter…but probably not enough to base any sort of decision for undergrad.</p>
