Best colleges in NYC? Will chance you back! :)

Hii, I want to get into NYU but it's a reach for me, so I wanted to know what's another school within 30 minutes of NYC (I don't want to go too far) that I could apply to. :) I'm out of state.

About me:
3.537 UW/ 4.837 W GPA
1950 SAT/ 1250 CR + Math (will be raising, aiming for a 2000/ 1300 at least).
Volunteered at animal shelters, hospital, more places but I don't want to list it all lol, I'd be boring you all.
No awards/ leadership, but I did cross country for 2 years and band, I'm also in honor societies and in clubs.
I can get good recommendations and I'm a decent writer in my opinion, so I think I can write good essays.

I know it's vague, but any ideas? Thank you so much!

I want to major in Bio/ pre vet :)

Umm, Hofstra’s about an hour away from NYC and it’s probably ranked little bit lower than you’d like, but it’s a solid school, and with your sats you could probably get into then honors college and be looking at some merit money.

You could try liberal arts, Sarah Lawrence is located in Bronxville, and your stats are close to matching there (though I’m not sure about the quality of their pre-vet.) You could also look at Fordham, once again your stats are close to matching just not sure if it’s the best at what you want to study (they are also Catholic and will probably dig the volunteer work.)

also, almost forgot, could you chance me aswell?

yess thank you

I also want to go to NYU with same SAT score as you. But I will major in journalism

Although they are state schools, I’ve heard great things about the CUNY system.

Good luck yo you too creamania:)
And which CUNY? There’s so many :x
