Hi, we are looking for the best summer programs for our 16 years old son (will be 16 in the summer), that are still open for application. We live in Amsterdam so it can also be in Europe. We would like him to experience university life for the first time, to meet new people, to learn new things (he is interested in sciences but also in English) - and to have some fun as well. Any ideas?
Thanks a lot

Check out the summer programs for high school students offered by Columbia University and Brown University. Surf the main university website; programs are easy to find. My two children did them and loved the experience of campus living, quirky but smart professors and making friends from all over the world. Well-run programs with right blend of supervision and freedom (unless your child has a super-wild streak). Not cheap by any means so that’s a family decision. Range of time commitments available too.
