Best computer for engineering?

Which laptop would you recommend? I am interested in the Dell Precision 5510 and the Lenovo P50. (MacBook is a little out of my price range). The Dell is lighter but has less battery life. The Lenovo is a pound heavier but has 3 more hours of battery life.

Thanks

Personally I’d take the heavier laptop. Battery life is pretty important. However many universities are “modernizing” and adding additional power outlets to classrooms, libraries, study rooms, etc so if you want the more portable machine you’d probably be fine.

Ya, I mean I could afford a Mac if I really wanted to but I feel like I could buy a cheaper Windows machine, that’s just as powerful.

Engineering. Those two plus the Mac are the recommended systems.
