Best country to live in?

So long story short I decided to move to another country when I get older (I live in the US). So other than US what is the best country to live in?

Sweden, Finland or Norway for me, or even Denmark since it was rated the happiest country in the world.

You don’t need to move to another country. Don’t become disillusioned with happiness ratings. Move to California; it’s the best state of the best country. :D

I have never lived in another country, so I can’t help. Bunmer.

Canada… as long as you don’t decide to be weird and live in Saskatchewan, Nunavut, or the Northwest Territories. BC is just wonderful.

Dat BC bud. Vancouver isn’t THAT bad is it?

I’ve always liked frankfurt, germany because its the only part of europe that is modern

Whichever country I happen to be present within at any given time.

The United States. Trust me on this…

I’ve heard that once you live in Australia, you can’t live anywhere else in the world.

Sent from my SGH-T959V using CC

When I was in high school, I always thought about moving to Mexico or Pakistan or Ethiopia or some country like that that had cool ancient ruins and decent weather where I would be rich compared to everyone else, and I could just chill out living on my savings with no social expectations. That’s obviously total romanticizing though

What makes you so sure of that?

I’ve always though Australia was pretty cool.

Europe sucks, and all other continents are poor, besides Australia which is 99% desert…

^ Ok this is just stupid. I’ve lived in other countries, both in Europe and in Asia, and they were great. But, I can tell you that the quality of life here is beyond comparison.

HDI rankings and the like don’t really mean much. Singapore, Monaco, Lichtenstein, Norway, all great, but I can tell you without a doubt that the best quality of life exists in the US and Canada.

But Samonuh’s argument is just dumb and doesn’t really help the stereotype of the ignorant American.

Uruguay, Chile, Costa Rica, or Brazil :). Those are probably the nicest countries in Latin America and they’re doing well economically!

Hey, if I’m right, I’m right. Doesn’t matter how I reached the conclusion.

I would think that Canada would be worth considering. To me, Canada is like America, but without many of the problems we have in America.

Somalia for life.

Australia
Vancouver, Canada
Hong Kong/Macau
