Hi i am currently an undergraduate Economics Major at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
I like my current school but I know that i do not want my career to be in Buffalo and I want to move out to California. It has been something I’ve wanted for a long time but coming to college was already an intimidating experience and not one I thought I would be able to handle on the other side of the country. I have adjusted far better than I thought however and the challenge is now one I am certain i want to take on. I want to attend either USC or UCLA but being about to complete my Freshman year It seems I will have to spend an additional year at my current college before being able to transfer. My question is should I transfer to a California Community College to improve my chances of acceptance and at least get out there? or should I just build my credits at Canisius and wait until I am a Junior before I start my new life in California? Also is there any option in addition to these two you would recommend.
My median GPA will be 3.5 after this semester ends
I am the president of the leadership division in the Canisius Entrepreneurship Organization
I play for and am acting treasurer of the Canisius Men’s Rugby Club
Thank you for taking the time to read this, any advice is greatly appreciated.
