I’m planning on transferring soon, and I am having trouble on what CSUs to apply to. I understand that some UCs have great political science programs, but as of right now I am only looking at CSUs.
I have several CSUs in mind such as SDSU, CSUF, and CSULB. I’ve spoken to some CSUF Political Science majors and they are very happy with the curriculum.
Also, I am transferring from a community college.
You might want to add Sacramento State due to the proximity of the state capital and a better chance for internships if you are leaning towards that area for your Political Science degree.
I’ve looked in to CSUS, but they don’t offer political science from what I know. They offer a Government major, but it’s not what I’m looking for. Their Gov. major seems closer to Public Administration than Political Science.
The internships are quite enticing.
The course offerings in the CSUSac government department look like typical courses found in political science departments elsewhere:

The degree requirements look similar to those of typical political science majors elsewhere:

Thank you, @ucbalumnus ! I was wrong about Sacramento. I’ll look into it now.
When are you transferring? Haven’t the CSU deadlines passed for transfers?
I apply this coming fall.
