I'm taking the APUSH exam in May, but I'm unsure whether I should take the US History SAT first in May and then again in June if I'm not pleased with the May result? Does anyone have any recommendations? How ready will I be in May to strive for an 800? Our APUSH teacher's pretty good, but should I just wait until June to take it once? Thanks!

I took APUSH last year and took the subject test in june. The reason why I didn’t take it in may was because I had a lot of AP/H classes and may was really hectic for me. You will be prepared for the subject tests if you take it in may. If you really feel like you’re going to do bad and need to take it again, then just take it in june. There’s really no difference between the two, just take it when you’re best prepared. A warning though, I recommend you take it in may if you’re not too busy because after the ap test, I forgot everything about USH. Haha… You’ll be perfectly fine taking it in june but you might need to do some more reviewing.

And may/june is a longggggggg way from now. Why don’t you see how the class goes and make the decision in march?

^^like he said, when you’re ready. school dies down in june for me at least, or may even be over for you, and the curve doesnt differ too much anyway

S took APUSH exam & SAT 2 in May. Scored 5 and 800. He said that what was covered in APUSH was also on SAT 2.

Take the exam in June. A textbook, AP review book, and perhaps some practice questions are all you need to excel on the subject test.

Statistically speaking, it should make no difference provided you prepare for both. If you feel that taking it in June would give you more time, then take the June test.
