Best dorm for a person like me

Hey so I just got accepted for food science. Think I want to switch to nutrition though. Any way, what would be the best dorm choice for me?

-I want to have a very social environment and be close to my classes. I have lived 30 minutes away driving distance from all my friends my whole life, and really want to be able to bike or walk somewhere in a few minutes to hang out.

-I’m a tad shy, especially with girls, so an environment that would make that easier for me would be great.

What dorms have like a room where everyone on a floor or building(girls and guys) can go to hang out/study/ watch t.v etc.

I was thinking about the red bricks. What do you think? which one in the red bricks? thanks!

Fremont Hall is the one associated with the college of ag but you can sign up for other red bricks if you want. I heard living in Sierra madre or yosemite provides a more social environment but it is a little bit farther from classs. Yosemite is farthest from campus but has coed floors if you want to try talking with girls or something.

My son lives in Muir and loves it. He and his roommate (a good friend from HS) stacked their beds and brought in a couch. That combined with a well stocked frig has made their room a social hub. Originally he had Sierra Madre as his first choice but screwed up when he entered his preferences. He now thinks it doesn’t really matter. It all about what you make of it.

gotpeter, are we allowed to choose who our roommates will be?

jmsy you can choose your roommates. I got accepted for early decision and on the housing application you are given a code number to give to the person you want as your roommate. Then you put that roommate’s code on your application

calpolytobe is correct. BTW, do **not **forget to send in your deposit.
