Best Dorm Shopping Stores?

I'm going to be a freshman in Fall. I want to get ahead of the crowds with dorm shopping.

So, for all of you grads/students/parents, please help me out.

What stores have the best stock of dorm room stuff? Or stores that have specific products you had difficulty finding for college? Thanks!

beds bath & beyond
walmart

Ikea 10char

Ikea, BB&B, Organized Living, Linens-n-Things

The Container Store, Bed Bath and Beyond, Linens-n-Things, Target

Target, ftw!

Wal-Mart (Maybe i'm only saying that cause i work there though)

what type of things do people buy for dorms? besides the obvious (like bed sheets and posters)

~im asking because im still in high school but im gonna dorm

Thanks everyone.

Ayoub: Check that A to Z list. And you got time...

hahaha thanks i will

I've been shopping at BB&B, linens-n-things, target, walmart, ikea, overstock.com, and the container store. Each store has certain things they are better for (more selection, lower prices).

Publix 10

ikea, amazon

Target is good. I worked there last summer and tons of people were buying dorm stuff.

another vote for ikea.

Target ftw.

yes target!!

Target wins, with BB&B coming in at a close second.

Depending on where the school is, BB&B will let you buy at home store, pick up at store near school -- no shipping. I do not know if Target or other stores have the same deal. If anyone knows they should point that out. Very helpful if you have to travel far.

I love Target the best, but i've gotten some nice things at Wal-mart too. BB&B is good to, though it can be a little pricy.
