Hey guys I’m trying to figure out where I should live at OSU. So my major’s pharmaceutical sciences and I know there’s an LLC for pharmacy in Canfield Hall, but I heard it’s a crappy dorm without air conditioning. Is this true? Also, does anyone have any advice on what dorms to apply to, not taking into consideration LLCs? Thanks guys!

Here is what I’ve heard:
North campus is for scholars/quiet/people who want to study. It’s near the engineering buildings and they have just built new dorms that might be completed in time for this year. This is where most engineering/STEM majors want to spend their first year.
South campus is for partying/social life. Dorms are generally lower quality, tighter, and older, but you are more near all of the social places (restaurants, stores, movie theatre, etc…) Intended for people who spend most of their time outside of the dorm.
East campus has the largest rooms and best dorms, but is quite far away from the rest of campus. You will need to be ready to walk every day. Not much in terms of social aspects or scholarly aspects, but the environment is the best (smallest amount of homeless, fewer bad buildings, modern dorms, etc…).
I’m not sure if there is a west campus or not, if there is, I haven’t heard anything about it.
@Redjericho There is no East campus dorms. West campus dorms have the largest rooms. But they are furthetest away. The South campus has several recently renovated dorms. They are mostly doubles whereas the dorms on north house mostly quads.
@Redjericho are you on the osu class of 2019 page on fb?
West campus is far from all your classes regardless of where they are. The whole “north campus is for quiet/nerd kids” is not true at all. At least in my dorm (drackett) on north campus, most kids had requested to live on south campus but were placed here instead.
Just found out my Scholar’s community lives in Smith-Steeb on South Campus. The rooms are renovated and have air conditioning so that sounds good.
