Best dorms at Purdue University for freshman?

Just wondering what the most "favorable" dorms are on campus. I plan on attending in Fall 2014 and would like to get my housing deposit in asap. I visited last spring and saw a part of Cary that was sort of run down looking and didn't appeal very much to me. I'm a male aero eng. major and I enjoy weightlifting, so being near the corec would be preferable. I don't mind walking so distance from engineering buildings aren't really an issue. Also, a coed dorm would be nice. Thanks!

First, figure out if you need AC and how much you’re willing to pay.

If you like having AC and pay middle price, Harrison, Earhart, and McCutchton (sp?) are pretty good. There’s a bus between Harrison and Earhart that goes to Armstrong (Silver loop), and the Gold loop stops outside of McCutchton and goes to Armstrong as well.

You can take a virtual tour of the rooms online I think.
