We're going through the housing application and my DS was selected for the Honors College. I know that Juniper is strictly for Honors but what if he doesn't get in? What are your experiences with other suite style dorms and which would you suggest?

Thanks.

Whatever you do, do NOT get traditional. You do NOT want to share a bathroom with 30 people. I really like suite style, but to be honest, Juniper is really really good and looks the best out of all the dorms, but Honors kids can be a bit haughty/snooty and I personally do not enjoy the community, but I definitely like the living environment. For freshmen though, Honors is definitely the best choice, just learn to pick good friends.

I am currently living at Cypress Suites B which a co-ed dorm, though I also hear that Cypress A Suites will also be Co-ed next year instead of an all girls dorm… I love living in Cypress Suites, it is a really nice layout because the shower and the toilet are separated, so someone can get ready in the bathroom while another takes a shower, which happens quite often… It is also nice because one is able to utilize the floor kitchen which is connected to the lounge where there is a tv so one can cook if there is time. But one important aspect to consider while living in suite style is whether or not the laundry rooms are in the building, most people may not mind that it is or isn’t in the building but if you decide to do laundry when it is raining, it kinda stinks especially if you have washed alot of clothes… I am a freshman who lives in Cypress B Suites because I am part of the Leadership LLC on the first floor. But if there are any other questions which you have regarding Cypress Suites or the Leadership LLC, please let me know.

How many people per room in Cypress LLC? I hear rumors of three to a room. Any advise would be helpful.
