<p>Are there enough cottages there for anybody who wants to live there, or is it a place you have to apply the first day possible or you’re screwed?</p>
<p>The Retreat is a privately-owned enterprise so there isn’t a specific “sign up” date. Once you decide that you want to live there…either find a few friends to rent a cottage with you…or they will place you in a cottage with an empty bedroom. </p>
<p>We signed our son’s contract in January…but that wasn’t really that necessary to do it that early.</p>
<p>Thanks, that helps out a lot. It looks great. Does anybody have experience with leaving it vacant throughout random trips home, holiday visits, etc.? Does the community allow it or do you have to live there for your whole lease?</p>
<p>It’s like renting any apt. You are free to come and go as you please.</p>
