best dorms??

help!!! i need to know what are the best freshman dorms..i have my own idea but i want to know what you guys/gals think!!

I like the Cuicacalli Suites...It looks really awesome!Awesome rooms, a swimming pool, view from the top floors if your on them, and a sand Vollyball court!!!Im definetly gonna aim for those if I go!!!

yeah thats were im thinking about rooming..u visited there yet?????? i mean did u actually see a model room of "Cuicacalli Suites"?

I'm only a junior in high school, but SDSU is one of my favorite schools so I know a lot about it. As far as dorms go the main ones are Zura, Cuic, Chappy, and Tenochca.

I've heard Chappy is nice, but its location on campus is far away from everything. Zura is the most social dorm, but the most rundown. Tenochca is somewhere in the middle. Cuic is the nicest, but since they are in suites, it isn't as social as the others.

So I would definitely pick between Zura and Cuic. Whatever is most appealing go with that one.

okay, so if your concerned with cost, how do those dorms fit in? suites are obviously more expensive right? Im just guessing, fill me in!! :)

Yah Cuic is the most expensive. Chappy, Zura, and Tenochca are the cheapest. Since cost is a concern, choose one of those 3.

If you want a really social dorm in a great spot on campus pick Zura/Tenochca. But if you don't mind being separated from the other dorms, and prefer to have nicer and newer furniture pick Chappy.

Thank you. How do you know so much about the dorms anyways?and also.....know anything about the fraternities and sororities?? like here in nebraksa, in linicoln, they're a big deal. there are probably well over 20 sum sororities and just as many frats. r they as big of a deal at sdsu? i was thinking it would be a good way to meet people, but if they aren't a big deal like they are here, im not sure if it would be worth it. whatdya think??

I really love SDSU, so I just read a lot about it. And from SDSU students on this website.

Greek Life at SDSU is huge. Since the school only is about 10% greek, one would think it isn't a big deal, but it definitely controls the social life. But there is so much to do in San Diego, that you don't have to be apart of it. College Prowl.er gave SDSU's greek life an A+. And theu.com says their greek scene is at the "animal house" level...meaning it is the biggest possible.

here is the greek life chapter directory.

http://www.sa.sdsu.edu/cfsl/ChapterDirectory.html

Campusdirt.com says the best 2 sororities are kappa alpha theta and alpha chi omega.

LIVE IN CHAPPY..SDSU just built a new 12 million dollar aquaplex which is next door to chappy and has to be the greatest thing ever made. Plus Chappy (chapultec sp?) is one of the nicer dorms.

is chappy mainly freshmen? how's social life?

everything seems great but it seems to be isolated from other dorms.

and what about cost compared to the other dorms** :)

according to the sdsu, all halls cost the same but suite cost more i believe.

and thank u socal18 for the help on sororities. that website was reallygood

thanks everyone!!!..good info to have!!!

but all of the double rooms in Cuic are changing to TRIPLES in the fall because there's too many students and no where to put them all....how they are going to fit 3 beds in each room is beyond me....

one regular bed and a bunk bed.

If anyone has any questions, I live in Chappy now...and that's bs about it being far away from classes. It's the closest dorm to the classes on the west side so that argument is mute at best...and greek life is pretty big. I joined phi psi (on frat row) in the fall.

Mike23 - I always heard Chappy was far apart from main eating areas and the other dorms. But I'm glad you said the location is fine, bc if I end up at SDSU in 2008, I would pick Chappy because it looks really nice.

But would you say it is separated from the other dorms?

and the social aspect is good?? how is the sex seperated? just by rooms or by floors? and is there a nearby outdoor pool like there is at all the other halls? (im asking about chappy as well) The only othe dorm i was lookig at was cuic. bad idea?? i am the social, outgoing type, so i kinda wanna be in that kind of an environment. good to hear greek life is big. i was looking at alpha chi omega...

What dorms do most transfer students stay in?
