oh and, freshman might get added mealpoints (2400) while sophmores will get 1800 mealpoints

muir are nice.. .there are previous posts you should look at … i took pictures for the other thread if you look for them…

but basically… the muirs dorms have been remodeled
so theyre pretty nice =)

anyone have pictures of revelle, and yes that was my 1st choice, sorta went for the challenge i guess

More on Warren.
Pictures of the dorms would be nice.
Are there doubles in the res halls?
And how are the bathrooms?

no doubles in warren’s res halls, four singles and two triples

ugh. i got in revelle. i wish i’d chosen muir

Aw, if there are no doubles in Warren, what should I aim for, a triple or a single?
What are the advantages/disadvantages of each?
Thanks!

Ugh. I’m so mad, Warren sounds like the worst of the six colleges.

are you kidding me? warren all the way. =]

seriously, the suites in warren are pretty cool, and you have the best chance of getting a single. 40% chance. there’s four singles and one triple. we’re close to the pool, we have volleyball courts, the gym isn’t that far either. well if you hate walking i guess, but seriously, it’s the perfect preworkout workout if you get what i mean.

warren GEs are also pretty nice, not hard at all, not that many requirements. we only have 3 quarters of writing. food is decent and we have earl’s place, it’s like a mini costco. it’s a little expensive but hey if you have extra meal points you can buy w/e you want. medicine, scotch tape, ice cream, condoms?, coffe, cookies. etc etc. warren is not bad at all, i’m soo glad i picked it.

Hi! I got into Marshall college (major: pharmacological chem.). Does anybody know how the residence halls/dorms are? How are the GE classes? How many classes do you take a quarter? Do we have a lot of free time for shopping or hobbies? Or is it a lot of studying?

muir is just amazing just admit it ![]()
but yeah
there is really isnt a set amount of classes you have to take a quarter…but there is a certain amount of units… its 12 and usually classes are 4 so the min is 3 but most ppl take 3-4 classes… i know some ppl that took 5 a couple times… theyre crazy!!
and shopping/studying depends on
-your classes
-your major
-your study habits
so i would say of course theres time to do that stuff…

Muir, simply put, kicks ass.

best dorms are tioga/tenaya at muir.. even though theyre bland concrete, they were built back when contractors still cared about the quality of their buildings. also.. if you live on the 5th floor or higher, you have an ocean view if you’re on the west side. i lived on the 4th floor of the west side of tioga, so all i saw was the street and a dumpster. the concrete keeps the dorms cool, and you can open the windows and get an awesome ocean breeze. but the best part about living in muir is the cafeteria - sierra summit. almost everyone i know says that summit has the best food among all 6 college cafeterias.

Haha I beg to differ about Summit. I find it to be one of the less appealing places to eat. Though the Philly Cheese Steak is definately their best option.

missanna, Revelle’s amazing. i don’t know why people are talking garbage about the most well rounded college @ UCSD.

enlighten me, jasonlee, on how well-rounded the science nerds of revelle are – the ones who do anything and everything possible to skip out on any class that doesn’t require left-brain work. :)

lol, astrina!

so Sixth pretty much sucks

edit: no hotapp, 6th doesn’t suck.

omg you gotta be crazy to think muir res halls are nice… been there. didn’t like them one bit…

i still think we at warren have the best res halls. marhshall’s are pretty much the same though but theirs are behind ovt… our location is better.

and sierra summit food the best? eh… no, not really. OVT wins. other than that, food seems to be just about the same everywhere else…

point is guys, you can read about the dorms as much as you like and see our opinions but as you can see, we disagree haha. so it’s gonna be up to you to decide if you like it or not. a friend of friend who got into muir started crying on move in day because she found it really ugly. i personally don’t think it’s ugly, BUT i’m just not a big fan of muir. i don’t see what the fuss is all about.

**advice: come visit on admit day and make sure you get a tour of the res halls and apartments. **
