Best Double Majors at Virginia Tech for Aspiring Data Scientist?

Hi guys!

I am high school senior interested in VT’s Engineering program specifically majoring in Computer Science. My primary goal following graduation is actually going to medical school, but if that fails I would be interested in going into data science, AI, and machine learning, or even bioinformatics. However, I also have a small interest in being a financial or business analyst.

Therefore my main question is: given my career interests which major would make most sense coupled with a Computer Science major? My strongest choices are probably statistics, mathematics, or the unique “big data” major that VT has (I believe it is called Computational Modeling and Data Analytics). Which one of these majors would be the most versatile and help me out the most in the fields I’m interested in?

Thank you for you help!
