I'm an upcoming FPF student this fall, and I'm still not sure which FPF classes to take. I'd like to have some easy classes, but also if they are enlightening or at least educational. Any recommendations?

What major(s) are you interested in?

What AP credit, if any, do you have?

I’m an intended Pre-Biz/Econ major, and AP credit’s not gonna help me much beyond getting me English R1A from English Lang. and Math 1A from Calc BC. I’m already decided on English R1B and Math 1B, to freshen up since I haven’t done math since junior year… Otherwise, I’m pretty much undecided concerning breadths.

[If you got a 5 on Calculus BC, you can take Math 53 or 54](http://math.berkeley.edu/courses_AP.html), but you’ll have to wait until spring since those math courses are not available in FPF.

For breadths, take whatever is interesting to you, though if you major in economics, pay attention to which breadths will be fulfilled automatically by economics major courses so that you can prioritize fulfilling the other ones (note that the business major does not allow fulfilling breadths with business or certain economics courses).

That’s pretty much why I’m just establishing that I will do the 7 breadths anyway. And I’m retaking 1B mainly because a 5 on BC only counts for 1A in Haas, and because I haven’t done any math my entire senior year.

Otherwise, how does EPSM 50AC and Psych 1 sound? Any other good breadths?

I’ve heard the Psych 1 prof in FPF is really entertaining.

Haas lets you fulfill its math requirement with Math 53 or 54. These may be useful if you decide to major in economics instead. Of course, you need to make the decision based on how confident or not you are in your math skills.

As far as breadth requirements go:

ESPM 50AC = American Cultures plus one of the following: L&S historical studies, L&S philosophy and values, L&S social and behavioral

Psychology 1 = L&S social and behavioral

Note that all economics courses cover L&S social and behavioral if you are an economics major, so Psychology 1 would not improve requirement coverage in that case, though you may still want to take it if you are interested in the subject. If you are a business major, business and some economics courses cannot be used against the breadths, so Psychology 1 could help with requirement coverage.

Any other FPF courses that are known to be quite easy that I can take instead of Psych 1?

I suppose I’ll do Art History. How is it, by the way? And… Are there any easy Bio/Physical Science classes?

And Music 27, for that matter… At this point, I’m just sort of at a loss, trying to finish this as soon as possible while juggling AP exams.

Nevermind, I decided on EPS 80.

They don’t offer any of the “hard” ones (with labs) like Physics 7A, Chemistry 1A/4A, etc. in FPF.

Bumps pls

Right now I have down

Soc 3ac with niyogi
Ethnic studies with brown
Espm with sprayer

And eps with hassler
