best economics school?

I am currently attending a Community College(CUNY) here in NYC and would like to transfer to another school to take up economics. would anyone know with school have the best Economic programs? NYU, Columbia, Baruch or City College?

i don't know about those schools but I'd assume Columbia...

but, I've heard economics at UChicago is phantasmal.

<a href="http://www.graduateshotline.com/study/economics.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.graduateshotline.com/study/economics.html</a></p>

aka - how did you get that site to give you a list by field of study?

"NYU, Columbia, Baruch or City College?"

out of those.. columbia of course.

I would say, UChicago...

jmmom: I "googled" it. Keywords: "top colleges for economics"

forgiven: I wouldn't undermine NYU's program; it competes with Columbia.

I think Columbia has a better economics department than NYU, and its a better school overall too. I go to Baruch (for now) and the main thing here is Business but economics isn't that bad either I guess. It should be better than City College though.

So I would say:
Columbia, NYU, Barcuh, City College.

yeah, it's great and all, but somebody would be a fool to pick nyu econ over columbia econ.
