Best engineering placement - getting real data

I'm finding getting real placement data on schools to be challenging. Any suggestions for sources of data on how well schools do for undergraduate FT placement in field of study? Especially interested in engineering undergrad degree placement stats.

Not sure why this isn't as high on people's college search list.

Thanks!

Some schools that have a placement center keep very good stats. UW, Michigan, MIT etc.

MIT has fantastic stats are are happy to share them. Do schools that are not so open trying to keep a poor placement record under wraps?

No, just lazy. or the other. Takes chasing after students to fill out forms and compiling all the info into a nice report. UW business and engineering do a good job. Other areas not so much.

Take a look at the http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/internships-careers-employment/1121619-university-graduate-career-surveys.html</a> .

Berkeley, Cal Poly SLO, CMU, MIT, and Virginia Tech have relatively good detail by major.

However, note that the methodology may differ somewhat (e.g. six months out versus one year out, etc.), so use care in making comparisons.
