Best engineering schools to apply to?

I am an Indian residing in Dubai currently in IB Year 1. Looking for colleges that are reaches/matches/safety for my current level of accomplishment. This will help me focus on what schools to aim for and apply to in October. Interested in pursuing Computer Science/Engineering with a mix of economics/entrepreneurship.

My stats are as follows:
ICSE (Grade 10) : 96.8% Computers : 100% (World Topper)
SAT - 2260 : CR 690 :frowning: M 770 W 800
SAT 2 - Will write Math Level 2, Physics and Chemistry (Working towards 800’s)
IB Diploma Candidate - As of the 1st semester my Classes are:
7 - Physics HL ; 7 - Math HL ; 7 - Econ HL ; 7 - Chem SL ; 6 English Lang.Lit SL ; 5 Spanish Ab

In terms of Extra curriculars I am involved in elocution and debating. Have bagged a lot of intra-school and inter-school competitive experience at this. Nationally ranked at Squash and play Badminton and Tennis for my school too. Also involved in Quizzing and a couple of science fair’s here and there (no wins at that yet). Some generic community service, press club, spelling bee etc. too. Currently planning to build an app for iOs and Android. May give Google Science Fair a shot too.

So, given my current standing, which universities should I targeting to apply too? Ready to work hard towards it and money is not an issue.

Thank You. Also, what can I do to further improve my odds?

Your resume is stellar and being an international student definitely gives you an interesting background; for some starter suggestions for engineering:

Public- Georgia Tech, U of Michigan, UC Berkely, Purdue, U of Illinois (Urbana Champaign), UC San Diego

Private- MIT, Stanford, Princeton, Columbia, Cal Tech, Cornell

There are many others that could interest you! You should check rankings but DO NOT ABIDE by them, use them to get an idea of some schools and then do further research into their specific majors and programs and classroom sizes and overall student environments! College is all about academics but it’s also where you’ll be living for 4 years of your life!

Case Western and University of Maryland College Park are good matches.

You’re a likely admit to UC Berkeley. You should apply there.

You may also want to look into CMU, UT-Austin, Rice and the University of Washington.

“You’re a likely admit to UC Berkeley.”

Hardly. There are no likely admits to top elite schools for internationals.
