Best for Econ Grad School (ph.d)

<p>OK JHS thanks for that, although I already knew that Chicago didn't have a BS which is why I asked if a BA is considered worse. I was thinking that maybe if the BA was seen as much worse then I would go somewhere else where I could get a BS.</p>

<p>Two things are relevant here:</p>

<li><p>No insitution in the world has a more respected Economics department than Chicago, and only a handful have Economics departments that are as respected. I haven't checked, but I would be a little surprised if any of them offer a BS in Economics, except for MIT where that's the basic degree. </p></li>
<li><p>Every grad school, and every employer you care about, is going to look behind your degree label to see what you actually know and what you have done, especially for something like Economics where there is an incredible number of directions in which you could go.</p></li>
