Best Fraternity?

Which frat is the best at UNC?

There is no “best frat”

If you’re interested in Greek life, you should rush and then ultimately pledge the frat that you feel is best for you (assuming they agree and offer you a bid)

While you should pick one based on how much you like the guys, there is something to be said for doing one that has a good reputation too. The big four are DKE, Phi Gam, Phi Delt, and Beta, in no particular order. They are clearly the wealthiest on campus. Aside from those, there are Chi Phi, Sigma Chi, Kappa Sig, Chi Psi, SAE, and Pika. Others that aren’t as “good” have a lot of girls from really good sororities who go there a lot, like Lambda Chi and ATO. Hope that helped!

Do your own investigating when you get on campus. Several fraternities have well deserved “reputations.” The list above forgot to include Delta Upsilon. It was on campus for many years but after a fire in another fraternity house it was decided that the cost for sprinklering the old house was too great so they took a leave for a while so that they could build a new house…

They rechartered in 2004 (my son and his dorm roommate were part of the newly formed chapter) and in the spring of 2006 tied for top honors as best fraternity on campus after less than two full years back. They have a new house located on Rosemary Street in the historic district amid many sorority houses. They are still relatively small but are a good house with a good group of guys. It’s one place that you can still help to shape the character of the group rather than trying to fit into an existing character.

Phi Beta Kappa.

I do not want to bash you, but this thread is idiotic. There is no best fraternity or sorority as like universities/majors it’s all subjective and you really have to chose the one that best fits you.So my recommendation is do not get caught up in all of the student’s bias opinions about the “best fraternity”, because you may be wanting to be in something for the wrong reasons (like because girls you asked said there the best)and something that in reality is not right for you. Test out all the fraternities and choose the one thats’ right for you, not for others and not because of student polls.

By best I was referring to the fraternity that has the best reputation on campus and well as a good reputation with employers.
