Best "Free" Pop-Up Blocker

I have to admit, I love this tabbing feature. I used to have to have a zillion open windows, but now I can have just one broswer window open :p

I thought everyone used Internet explorer!? I've never heard of Firefox and all that other stuff..

^ do you use yahooligans as a search engine?

.. no i use yahoo
and i use msn tool bar thing.. is it a tool bar? the thing at the top.

Googlo and yahoo toolbar don't work. I still get popups. so i changed to mozilla firefox. I luv it. I haven't seen a pop up in a long time.

I have to admit I have gotten 4 pop-ups in 3 days, and that's for a computer that hasn't had any virus protection in 2+ years. And only very recently had spyware removed, and just had a firewall implemented a few days ago. I think I'm going to stick with firefox because my computer is far too unstable to handle IE any longer :(

hey, its sounds your computer may be dying...
try to download hijackthis and post a log...may be we can twitch up the performance a little....

It's been dying for a long time. sigh This is a family computer, but no one else seems to care about it but me. I've done almost everything I can to keep it in working order but it's a pretty exhausting regimen. I'll download that and post the long soon. Thanks :)

Is this what you wanted, if not tell me exactly what the "log" is :p :

Then hit check fixed....

and search and destroy:
MediaAccK.exe
nvpxpvv.exe

Then ran the following online scans:
<a href="http://www.pandasoftware.com/produc...n_principal.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.pandasoftware.com/produc...n_principal.htm</a> (Internet Explorer only)

<a href="http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hou.../start_corp.asp%5B/url%5D">http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hou.../start_corp.asp</a> (Internet Explorer only)

Then download ad-ware and spy-bot, and ran both of them...do the complete scan not the smart scan...

---if you are unable to ran any of the scans, try it in safemode....just keep pressing F8 when the computer is booting up....

I see you have norton antivirus but not a firewall...

Then post a new log....

^ you can read that?

read what?

If you're ever curious about the processes running on your computer, you can always google them to find out if they are dangerous or not. For example, google "pokapoka63.exe"

BEST: go to microsoft.com and download their software..i havent had one ad in months!

that's because your ads has been replaced by security loopholes :D

lol..Microsoft's Antispyware Beta program actually does a good job of preventing spyware. The program is free as a Beta (MS just bought GIANT and rebranded the program, or so I've heard); hopefully they don't start charging for it anytime soon.

I too originally felt tied to IE. then i tried firefox. it's realllllllllllly amazing.
