So I got accepted to Penn State however I'm concerned about what dorm to go to?!
I know East Halls is the dorm best for freshmans. However, I'm not a big party person. Like I want to party but not all the time, I actually want to study. Another concern is that I feel that if I don't go to East halls I wont make friends especially since I am an out-of-stater. So anyone with aany experience in this ): ?
Another qquestion, does North have freshman? If so, easy to make friends?

I would say north is not the best place to be as a freshmen.
Pollack, or West if you do not want full out freshmen and noise.

When I applied for housing, I applied for east. When I got Pollock, I never felt so disappointed in my life. Fast forward a year, I couldn’t be happier with Pollock. Pollock is right in the middle of campus. Right by downtown and close to the hub.

I posted this in an earlier topic:

Its personal preference. There are freshmen in every on campus residence area, as half of the total students who live on campus are freshman.

East: almost 100% freshmen, far away from virtually all of your first year classes, food isn’t very good, smaller rooms, easier to make friends, more social.

Pollock: probably the second most freshman-populated area, located about 5 minutes south of East halls, slightly closer to academic classes but still on east side of campus, most popular dining commons on campus, slightly larger rooms than east

South: main population of south are Sorority girls and honors college students. South is located right near college ave, so its as close to downtown as you can get without living off campus, it kind of blends in with pollock halls, foods alright, dont really know how social it is there, but most people dont pick South unless youre a sorority girl or honors student

North: all suite style (expensive) living, smallest complex on campus, havent eaten here because hours are weird, its really secluded location wise, at the very north central part of campus, seems to be mostly foreign students who live there though from what i can tell.

West: Closest residence halls to most of the academic buildings, great dining commons, not as social, fairly large rooms, ~5 minute walk to college ave, seconds away from the library

just some tips off the top of my head, hope this helps

Does anyone know where the exercise facilities are located? Which dorms are closest to them? Thanks

pollock is close to exercise facilities… south is not too far either
