What is the best graphing calculator for the SAT that won't drain my bank account?

I just used a regular texas instrument scientific calculator. A graphing calculator is not needed and could slow you down if your not used to it.

^ i agree
i used a Ti- 89 on the test (but that was after 1 year of using it in Calculus AB/BC)so i really knew my way around
but i agree calculators DO slow you down… it gives you the answer no doubt, but human error and chances time are factors that you should look at.

that doesnt mean dont use a calculator, but know how to do the problems in your brain, cuz essentially its your brain doing the calculations (the whole input and all)

good luck… im taking hte test this week!!

A graphing calculator like a Ti-84 is fine, but it is usually not needed. Most problems can be easily solved without a graphing calculator and taking the time to punch the keys on a calculator often slows one down.

graphing calc wont help u on sat. on sat2 ti84 is enough
