Best hands-on civil eng. schools?

Olin does not offer Civil Engineering but it’s probably a good idea as an undergraduate to go with general engineering, mechanical, or electrical and computer engineering degree and focus on a specialized type of engineering in grad school.

<p>It’s difficult to get a graduate degree in civil engineering if the undergrad degree is not in civil engineering.</p>

<p>Olin is a great school, with lots of project-oriented learning and a different teaching approach (they don’t do the typical freshman syllabus). Students need to be prepared to work VERY hard.</p>
