I've been accepted to Indiana as a transfer and was wondering which dorm/apartment would be the best to apply for?

Does anyone have some experience with the housing
eighborhoods?

Thanks.

Look at Willkie in the SouthEast neighborhood. Son said if he had been forced to live in the dorms after his freshman year, that's the one he would have tried to get into.

You've probably seen this page already, but just in case:
IU-RPS - The Neighborhoods

As a transfer student, you get to request a specific dorm or apartment building. Incoming freshmen can only specify neighborhoods.

I lived in the Northwest neighborhood my freshman year...in McNutt. I would highly suggest not living there, it still has old furniture from the 70s (not kidding) and it's really gross, whereas some of the other dorms have been recently renovated within the past few years. Some of the dorms that have been updated are Willkie (which is the only dorm geared towards older students, so that could be good for you if you prefer that), Eigenmann, Ashton, Foster-Harper, and maybe Wright (but I'm not sure on that). In my opinion Willkie is definitely the nicest although I have also heard that the apartments in the northeast neighborhood are nice.

Here is the 08/09 Housing Guide, I don't know if that helps.

Good Luck! =-)

I'll back that up - my son stayed in Briscoe for soccer camp, and most of the room had the same furniture etc that I had in Forest in Fall of 1978. Really.
