There are no Baskin Robbins – at least that I know (there are two, but not close enough). The only thing near is Brusters. It’s good, anyway. A teacher tells me there’s this good place at the mall, but I haven’t been to it, nor do I remember the name.

Baskin robbins of course. I used to like Carvel when I was a kid, but all the ones around me just look dirty. Coldstone is good too, but sometimes I don’t like too many things going around in my icecream.

Frozen yogurt is good too. Red mango/yolato/pinkberry, all pretty much the same to me, taste amazing. I usually just order the plain variety with fruits on top.

I’ve tried making my ice cream the way Coldstone does it.

I got a hunk of vanilla ice cream. Cut up gummy bears. Shaved some chocolate. Crushed some Oreos. Then I took two wooden spoons and mashed them all together on a wooden cutting board.

In my area, the best is Woodside Farms which is this cute little farm that opened an ice cream shop and just got a great review from Gourmet Magazine so now it’s famous. I also like Sweet Lucy’s which I believe is a chain.

Franklin Fountain is certainly the most famous in Philly. Their maple walnut is pretty incredible.

I prefer gelato, though. We have some places in Philly, but I havent been to any of them. Mondo Gelato out of Western Canada (Vancouver) is the best I’ve ever had. None on the East Coast, yet, though.
