Best IVY LEAGUE for Business

What are the top 3 IVY LEAGUE's for someone interested in business? (undergraduate)

penn, columbia, cornell

thats funny...i heard columbia doesn't have a business program?

wharton, harvard, princeton, dartmouth, yale. only wharton is the ug business program, but they are all recruited heavily and that is what you want.

Actually Cornell also has an undergraduate business program that started up a few years ago. However, its in the public school of Cornall, Industrial & Labor Relations, though it is still very good. So for two of the top ivy league undergrad business programs, I'd say upenn and cornell. Harvard and all the rest don't have undergrad.

Oops, sorry. I meant Cornell's School of Agriculture & Life Sciences has the business program, called Applied Economics and Management, not the School of Industrial & Labor Relations.

Haha oh yes how could I forget a school I am even applying to! But yes, you are correct bigred thank you for correcting me.
Haitham

I 100% agree with Haithman's list

Here are my recommendations if you are interested in business

Wharton
Dartmouth
Harvard
Chicago
Michigan
Cornell
Princeton
Yale
Williams
UVA
Georgetown
etc... btw: that is actually basically my list not including BC and Maryland

Wharton is the best business program in the country. I didn't like Penn at all though when I visited, it was so gritty and urban. I know I want to go into business as a career but I don't want to focus solely on business during college, so I basically had to choose between Dartmouth and Cornell. Both schools have a history of producing many CEOs and top investment bankers. Ultimately, I chose Cornell and was accepted ED. It has the same tight community, strong alumni network, and vibrant social life, but it doesn't feel as isolated because it has a larger campus and more resources. That's why I chose Big Red over Big Green.

In response to haithman, in undergraduate colleges that are best for business, I would rank Dartmouth and Cornell tied after Penn. Harvard Graduate business school is amazing but it has no undergrad program business program and Yale's econ department is better. Chicago has one of the best econ departments in the country as well. Both Chicago and Harvard have horrible social scenes though so if you're a person who is looking for balance in college like I am, I would stay away from these schools. Michigan and UVA both have excellent undergrad business programs but I would rank them lower than the schools I mentioned above. Really any of these elite will help you tremendously for business, many investment banks hire directly from the Ivys, I just chose Cornell because it seems like a great fit for me.

NYU stern is also a school you can look into......they are ranked 5th (i think) in undergrad business and 2nd in finance

Though Columbia has no formal undergrad business program, do not overlook it... just take a look at it's location... the financial center of the country. It's very well known for having excellent connections to NY institutions and being able to place enormous chunks of its graduating class each year into ibanks, consulting firms, etc.

by far wharton is the best undergraduate business program.
-the academic level is top notch (although some schools compare here)
-the network is unmatched
-recruiting is ridiculous
I'm a student there and I've already gone to Citigroup headquarters in NY for two functions (at one it was MBA students from Wharton, Harvard, Yale, NYU, Columbia, and Northwestern, and Wharton UNDERGRADS we were the only UG there), i've been taken out for dinner by 3 fortune 500 recruiters, 2 ibanks, and I've gone for drinks with goldman sachs recruiters who were former wharton students. I've gone to dinner at Warren Buffet's house, and have met at least 10 CEOs. AND I'M ONLY A FRESHMAN!

NO OTHER UNDERGRAD PROGRAM offers such a well rounded business education. Wharton had the academics, the social life, the recruiting, the network, and just an outstanding group of students.

Wharton, is by far #1.
IMO, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, Brown.
In that order for #2-8

Anyone who disagrees about Wharton does not know what they are talking about.

To bern700's post:

WoW

Wow.

I'd have to agree with that statement. It seems a few people are quite a bit defensive of their alma mater.

This is really a no-brainer. Wharton owns any other school on the face of the planet besides maybe Harvard (close) in terms of alumni, recruiting, etc. in the business world.
And bern...wtf you never told me all those things. lol
Haitham

LOL. I can't believe this is even a question. Wharton is the best. Period. If you dont agree you don't know anything about business.

Esrajay, you are wrong about Dartmouth. Its up there with HYP. Dartmouth's alumni network is incredibly strong, which pays huge dividends when it comes to recruiting.

What about Sloan? MIT...
