Best Ivy School for Visual Arts?

So I'm an upcoming senior and am really committed to the visual arts. I've been going to an art studio since middle school, I've won some state-level art awards, been published in a national art magazine and stuff like that..I also think that I'm somewhat academically strong (2330 SAT, rank 3 out of like 850) So I want to give it a shot and apply to one ivy. I've done some research but I just wanted some help narrowing things down. So I was just wondering which Ivy School would best appreciate an applicant who is strong in visual arts/are looking for students strong in art? I'll definitely be sending an art supplement to whatever ivy i'll end up applying too. thanks :-)

I’m sure they would all ‘appreciate’, I don’t know if any are ‘looking’ as they get so many applicants. Just pick the one you like the best after you research the art programs and the school in general. Try reading in the Visual and Performing Arts forum, I’m sure there is college specific mentions there.

Hm, why only ivy?
Regardless, I can only speak for my (soon-to-be) alma mater. Brown happens to be quite snuggly with RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and a lot of my friends actually take art courses at RISD from time to time. It’s a great deal if you’re interested in taking classes at one of the best art schools in the country.

You shouldn’t apply to an Ivy League school simply because you have high test scores. That would be a waste of money. I agree with the above. Brown tends to be the most artsy of all the Ivies, but you don’t seem like a candidate for Brown just because you are a strong academic. There are many academically competitive students who are going to a state school because of full scholarships. You could enroll in a competitive Honors program, get a strong art program, and get full tuition if you look at the right places.

Have you looked at RISD? VCU? Syracuse? Those are schools that would appreciate your art and give you great merit aid.
