<p>okay, when did I say I was smarter than you guys first of all…I’m smart in that I read people well (and their test questions), but real-world logic just throws me for a loop often. I’ve actually passed the P exam already, but still I’m undecided about my future. How about accounting? How many hours do they usually work if they plan to go up the ladder (like Big 4 first, then a smaller firm?)</p>
<p>You can try pharmacy. It’s a pretty 8-5 type of job.</p>
<p>Other than health/science fields, I know nothing. I have heard though that accounting can get busy during tax season. They call it the “No sleep” season.</p>
<p>Cornellperson. If you work in public accounting you will always have busy seasons. That does not go away with a move from Big 4 to a smaller firm. However the big 4 tends to have year-end dates all year round, but you will have your down time.</p>
