i want to do a major in journalism (hopefully broadcast journalism) and then a minor in business. i no some top schools that offer them, but in your opinion, what are some schools that are great for either one or both?? don't tell me that i'm stupid for not having looked this up, but i'm just wondering from your opinions. i'm thinking: university of missouri-columbia, univ. southern cal, univ. florida, ball state, IU-bloomington, etc.....

Really look into each school to see if they offer a business minor. Business, once a secondary or backup major, has become very popular and school departments taken steps to limit enrollment by eliminating minors and double majors and accepting only the best applicants.

Syracuse University.

Northwestern.

IU Bloomington best choice in state for both JOurnalism and Business. Great J school and business schools. Check out the LAMP program. However the J school is print oriented although there are a couple of broadcast news courses. If you want specifically broadcast you may want to major in Telecommunications. Ball State good for broadcast but not so sure about business.

"Northwestern"

Yes. Great journalism. Doesn't have business, but it's economics program is more business-centered than most and widely respected.
