Which one do you love? Is there a Black Friday deal available for it?
For hard surfaces or rugs? I have an Electrolux electric stick that works great on hard surfaces.
Shark Rocket (plugged in) is great on tile floors, under beds etc.
I love the robotic vacuums by iRobot. Prefer it just do the vacuuming with little effort by humans (just clean out dust bin).
Nothing beats Dyson sticks in my experience.
I just broke down and got one and I’m very happy with it! I lugged my regular dyson around for way too many years!
I am a big convert to Dyson. Mine is the slim purple, it’s not heavy.
I find that the battery charge in my stick Dyson is enough for me to vacuum all the rugs and most of the bare wood floors on the ground level. So I leave the bulky Miele canister vac upstairs where there is wall to wall carpeting. I have cats that shed day and night… Dyson takes care of that very well. Plus, it is so lightweight it can be used in a pinch to dispose of an occasional spider or an insect .
I love the purple Dyson, but even it doesn’t beat my Roomba. After I got my Roomba, I only use the Dyson for spot cleaning.
I have a Shark Rocket that does the job. I bought on impulse at Target for about $129 on sale.
I think of I were getting a new one, I would get the Dyson.
I’m hoping there are Black Friday deals on the Dyson sticks, I am ready to get rid of the my heavy full size Dyson.
Is iRobot only good for wood/tile floors or for carpet as well?
Which stick Dyson you are liking? Is there a model number?
I have a Roomba and it does great with both carpet and hard surfaces.
We too have a Dyson stick vacuum. We. Have a 15 YO Sebo (corrected) that’s also very good, but it is not lightweight.
Mine is Dyson V8animal+. We got it at Costco a while ago.
If you can only buy one for regular light vacuuming on rugs, would you buy Roomba or Dyson?
It’s for my mom, she doesn’t have pets or kids.
I have both. The Roomba does the vast majority of the house and I use the Dyson just for the stairs. The Roomba has been life changing for me.
We use our Roomba way more than any other vacuum in our house. Our kids bought Roombas for their residences too.
I love my Dyson V8 Animal (from Costco, discounted at the time). We don’t have pets, but both the kids have dogs that visit. Gave D one for Christmas last year and she prefers it over her Roomba. She says the Roomba damages her baseboards.
Roomba. When I moved recently, the Dyson was sold with the house. It’s now replaced by a broom and dustpan.
