...hahah i was kidding dude

cablinasians

Come Down!! I know that Muslims aren't allowed to date i specifically stated on my post that from an islamic point of view a Paki girl shouldn't really be looking at any guy in that type of way . It says it in the Quran but your initial post sounded as if u were talking about dating amongst Pakis, and although most people tend to deny it, some Pakis tend to conform and date. And although it might seem like "crap" to you, from the religous viewpoint a girl shouldn't really be communicating with a guy, obviously she shouldn't be rude or anything but she should be aloof. REALISTICALLY, this doesn't happen but this is in the Quran. And i will agree that overall Indians way exceed Pakis in matters that count; politics, education, even movies they got it all. I mean Lollywood?? Come on. I think Pakis like to think that they are superior than Indians, and really try to compete with them but it usually crumbles in the end. Pakis are just way into appearances rather than have actual substance.
By the way is anyone Paki?

I'm a quarter Paki ~_~ but my pakistani relative gtfo of pakistan during partition, b/c he thought jinnah was full of it.

"I go with the theory that Asian (as in North Asian) women have the same basic spread (perhaps bell curve) but that the average is higher overall. The average is higher, in my opinion, perhaps because of certain uniformities (black hair generally, nice skin generally, smaller bodies generally, etc.)."

Black hair is just your personal preference. Others prefer blondes or women with chestnut colored hair.

Asian women don't have "nice skin" in any larger numbers than other women.

Body shape largely has to do with diet. Americans, unfortunately, due to diet and sedentary lifestyle are, on average, "larger", but there are many part of Europe where the women are just as slim (plus, this is also just personal preference - some men prefer women with more "curves").

The OBJECTIVE standard of beauty has to do with facial symmetry and shape (i.e. - nicely shaped chin instead of a weak chin) and the % is the same for all groups (with the "most beautiful" limited to, say, about 5-7% of each group).

Asian women don't have "nice skin" in any larger numbers than other women.

Not my experience. And they age better, and this is related to their skin and its composition.

Body shape is defined genetically and environmentally, of course. The frame of Asian women tends to be smaller, though the differences are less if they eat a more Western, milk and meat type diet. Even fat Asian-American women are generally smaller than the extremes of your average Anglo-European fattie in the US.

I agree that there are objective elements within beauty, and I have seen the studies that show these things. But feelings about beauty are partly learned -- some people thought the nose piercings of Indian women, for instance, was barbaric while others thought it was beautiful, to comment on accoutrements as an example. And your statement below allows for what I am saying, since preferences are not objectively determined to be valid:

I agree with this statement, by the way, but I would say that there is less dramatic deviation from a higher mean. I don't have a study to point to, except my experience living in Asia for several years.

If I could have the pick of the litter, I'd choose Italian. If I had to accept a randomly drawn subject, I'd take a North Asian.

This is what I've observed and there aren't studies you can quote that are going to change my mind. Because of course at the end of the day, it's determined by personal preference.

It's interesting to note how ideas change. As Bedhead mentioned on his post nose piercings were considered barbaric by many western cultures. Decades later, it's considered "sexy". It's all relative reallly. What was considered beautiful then, is not so much now and vice versa

By the way I am Paki. 100% both my mum and dad were born there. My siblings and i were born here though. If u want to get into specifics my grandparents were born in India, but that was before Pakistan was actually considered a republic of its own, so i don't really credit it that much

"Not my experience. And they age better, and this is related to their skin and its composition."

Skin composition? LOL!!!

Asian women just do a better job of hiding their flaws with make-up and skin-whitening products (maybe you were just hanging with the wrong type of white girls?).

As for aging, Asian women (those in the affluent urban areas) tend to stay away from sun exposure. There are plenty of Asian women due to sun exposure in the fields or the open-markets who haven't "aged better", and if anything, SE and South Asian, Middle Eastern and black women tend to age better (if all the variables are the same).

"Body shape is defined genetically and environmentally, of course. The frame of Asian women tends to be smaller, though the differences are less if they eat a more Western, milk and meat type diet. Even fat Asian-American women are generally smaller than the extremes of your average Anglo-European fattie in the US."

Overweight kids/young adults are becoming more common in Asia as fast food becomes more prevalent (esp. among the Chinese who dote on a single child).

Plus, as I stated before, there are many parts of Europe where the women, are on avg., noticeably slimmer than their American counterparts.

"This is what I've observed and there aren't studies you can quote that are going to change my mind. Because of course at the end of the day, it's determined by personal preference."

Right - it's your PERSONAL preference.

There are plenty of guys who think that East Asian women are fugly and that they all have bodies like prepubescent boys (and some guys who prefer black hair think that SE Asian, South Asian or Persian women are the most beautiful).

Objectively, only a small % of people (maybe 5-7%) of all races/ethnicities are blessed with near perfect facial symmtery/features - so count yourself lucky(not to be totally superficial) if you are able to date someone with these attributes, regardless of what race/ethnicity they are from.
Skin composition? LOL!!!
Skin is differently composed between races and within races too, and if you doubt that talk to a dermatologist. And if you doubt it, you obviously haven't had the experience flapping skin with different races that I have. ; ) I am not talking about huge chemical differences or something like that. I am talking about subtle differences. I don't know why this should be a surprise to you. But as I said, talk to a dermatologist.

You didn't refute what I said, but you do make it sound as if this is all environmental. Of course as diets converge, obesity problems will become the same. But I stand by what I said; there is a genetic component that leads to differences along the lines I described and if you don't see it, you are not paying attention.

Ah, so you did come around to the notion that there are personal elements and that beauty is not, as you said, entirely OBJECTIVE.

So a different way I might put it is that there is a greater uniformity in the looks of Asian women around a mean, as I see it. Thus, I correct myself. While I consider this greater uniformity to mean that for those who find Asian women attractive, they are more likely to find the average Asian woman attractive than a person who is attracted to, let's say Irish women, finds the average Irish woman attractive.

But if they aren't in line with my preferences, I won't find them beautiful no matter how symmetrical they are. You are contradicting the statement you made about personal preferences above. The logic of your post is as follows: You can't make a generalization like I made because these preferences are personal [read SUBJECTIVE]. [and I have now corrected my statement to account for that]. On the other hand, you said symmetry is an OBJECTIVE indicator of beauty, and I should feel lucky if I have a girlfriend who is beautifully symmetrical.

Which is it, I am asking? Subjective or objective?

I view it likely that, within the range of my preferences (I prefer Italians, Spanish, and Brazilians), I will be more attracted to the more symmetrical women among these. But even that, I find, is really suspect notwithstanding the studies showing that symmetry = healthy = beautiful.

I find more compelling the noting of the "average" as being perceived as more beautiful. There was a study done several years ago asking people to rate a whole lot of people by their attractiveness (as seen in uniformly sized photos). And then they created an average composite of these photos and guess what? Uniformly, people chose the "average", the composite photo, as being more attractive than any of the individuals. One would expect the average to have not only symmetry but also to not be abnormally sized. A really symmetrical women with a massive nose, two very symmetrical recessed eyes and big, symmetrical pug lips simply wouldn't be attractive to me, no matter what your theory of symmetry says.

Would you agree?

Or do you think that my girlfriend with a really massive and yet symmetrical nose is likely to appeal to you? Because if you think so, maybe you two should meet. I just can't get past the nose thing. It's time to dump her, especially if I can find someone who appreciates her symmetry.

black girls, latinas, and mixed girls

black guys, white guys, and mixed guys

girls who are mixed tend to be the hottest in my experience

black/asian, hot, white/asian, hot, black/white,hot, black/white/latina, hot, indian, not so much.....

For everyone saying "Indian", you read the thread title wrong; it's "BEST-looking ethnicity", not "EXTREME UGLIEST ethnicity".

And please don't bombard me with pictures of Bollywood actresses either; yes, some Indian girls are stunning, but that's expected in a country with almost a billion inhabitants.

Most Indians are hideous.

Focus

Brazilians. Thread over. How can anyone possibly argue against this?

psh, Indians are sexiest. Well, at the least the girls, I don't often see attractive Indian men. For boys, I would definately say Italian boys are the most gorgeous. But this is all my opinion.

Over all, it's impossible to make a distinction between races, because there are both attractive and unattractive people of all ethnicities. In additional, everybody has their own standard of beauty.

Though I have no idea how you could possibly come to the conclusion that most Indians are hideous.

My high school was 35% Indian. Call it "experience".

I should also clarify that "sexiest" and "hairiest" are not, in fact, synonyms.

Are you talking about hairiness for girls or guys?

:-/

Unfortunately, I'm talking about the girls. And I'm speaking from very personal experience, encompassing the entire body, if you know what I mean. Shudders from horrible high school memories

im black/asian girl and im pretty hairy. i used to shave my arms in middle school cuz i got picked on for it:/
it's just more noticeable when your hair is black, my blond and brunette friends are just as hairy (as in normal)

Apparently, monkeys and humans have the same amount of body hair, but human body hair isn't usually as visible. Speaking of which, what do girls think of hairy guys?

i like hairy guys. the reason is if theres a hairless guy then i look like a monkey compared to him. ok not really, but thats how i feel...

best looking race is eurasians!!!!! lol jk

i think philipino guys are good looking, but thats because they are nice to me
