Best major/minor option?

Hey guys, so for my major I'm going to be concentrating in Finance within the McIntire School of Commerce at UVA. I'm wondering what else would be a good major/minor option to go along with this? Math or Econ or something else? Thanks

Math is good for S&T. Not so much for IBD. Accounting is good.

For corporate finance in investment banking do the finance and accounting program they have. If you’re doing s&t, then as it was mentioned above, do finance and math- maybe throw in some macroeconomics classes as well.

Which would be best for investment banking in terms of the education? I have two options Northwestern’s economics program with a certificate in finance or Cornell’s AEM specializing in applied economics and finance.
A little advice would be greatly appreciated.

As stated on many other threads on here, Cornell tends to be recruited much more than Northwestern for IB, so I’d choose Cornell’s program.

Yeah I’ve read that all over this forum. But I was wondering about it in terms of the education because I’ve heard that in general business schools tend to be easier than something more theoretical and analytical such as a liberal arts economics degree.
