best major/minor

for someone at wharton....

what are the top majors in terms of eventual salary, job hours, etc for someone who is a very good math student

and with each major, whats a good minor to do with it

minor at wharton?

i assume you mean second concentration, or minor in another school / take a university minor, since wharton doesn't have its own minors as such (unless you count stat).

http://undergrad.wharton.upenn.edu/degree_programs/minors.cfm

basically my question is....

what are the top concentrations?
and i have heard that minoring in something is good addition so i just wanna know what combinations of concentration and minors are good

not including the dual-degree programs because i know those are very hard to get into

a quick facebook search reveals:

398 accounting
43 actuarial science
132 business & public policy
244 entrepreneurship
500+ finance
129 health care systems
31 insurance & risk management
126 legal studies
500+ management
500+ marketing
247 operations & information management
328 real estate
93 statistics
14 transportation

obviously, not a 100% reliable count, and limited by my network / friends list (which includes a good number of alumni), but a nice landscape nonetheless.

(nobody i can see listed environmental policy + management, global analysis, managing e-commerce, marketing & comm, or retailing as concentrations)

therefore, the top 3 are clearly finance, management, and marketing.

minors can be anything you want!

yea but my question is just what do the top companies look for....

like is a slight engineering background nice, or maybe a math minor

i know they can be anything...i just wanna know whats good in order to get the best job opps

if you're in wharton, you should just concentrate in finance & accounting.
